About Dr. Zheng

Dr. Guili Zheng is an authority in acupuncture and Chinese herbs. He has about 30 years of professional experience as a professor, director, and supervisor in Chinese medicine and acupuncture schools in China and America. With NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) certified diplomate of Oriental Medicine, Dr. Zheng has been a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Texas since 2001. Dr. Zheng specializes in treating diseases such as pain syndromes, allergies, hypertension, infertility, menstrual problems, menopausal syndrome. Other areas of expertise includes immune system, respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders, pediatrics disorders, side effects of chemotherapy etc.

Dr. Zheng obtained his M.D In 1983 from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where he received 5-year training in both western medicine and Chinese medicine. He obtained a master degree of Chinese herbs in 1986. In 1998, Dr. Zheng obtained his Ph.D. of Chinese medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine where he received intensive training from professor Mianzhi Wang, an well-known traditional Chinese medical doctor and educator.

Before Dr. Zheng came to Austin, Texas, he served as associate professor and associate dean in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1999, Dr. Zheng was elected as a member of China National Committee of Chinese Herbs. He has more than 20 papers and 8 academic books published.
